PROTECT YOUR VISION WITH 3D OCT SCREENING

Your eye health is important to us. That’s why we offer an OCT scan which can be included in your eye test at an additional charge.

WHAT IS AN OCT SCAN?

OCT stands for Ocular Coherence Tomography.
It is an advanced, non-invasive, simple, and quick scan of the back of your eye which could be added to your routine eye examination.
OCT uses light to illustrate the different cellular layers that make up the back of your eye. There is also a digital photograph of your retina taken at the same time to cross-reference any areas of concern.

PRICE:
£20 for a full scan
£15 for a partial scan

WHAT CAN THE SCAN DETECT?

Using the Topcon 3D scan equipment, we can take a detailed look at the back of your eye. This can show us signs of the following conditions:

- Age-related macular degeneration (AMD)

- Glaucoma

- Diabetes

- Macular holes

- Vitreous detachments

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE SCAN?
There is an additional charge for the OCT scan, but the benefits are significant. You can have peace of mind knowing your eyes are in good condition or you catch problems at an early stage and get appropriate treatment.
